Symphony in M

2016 | Single channel video installation | 2:34 minutes

Symphony in M is an experimental attempt looking at the term ‘co-variance’ – a measure of how random variables change when grouped together. “Using and manipulating Modernist musical compositions – l refer to the actual scores printed on sheets of paper – enabling their translation into ideas for space, time and the dynamics of architecture. The visual aspects such as stave lines and the varying dotted notations are re-imagined as aspects of virtual space and contemporary buildings and spaces. This is not always clear in the video as the profuse and overlapping forms appear like a brain teasing conundrum, inviting the viewer to engage the mind to make sense of so much information.
